Wright attended Prior Western Primary School and later the King Alfred School in North London for her secondary education. During the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Wright began attending London's University of the Arts: London College of Communication, to study Film and Television Production Manager. She plans to continue acting and to work behind-the-scenes after filming Harry Potter.

Career
In November of 2001 Bonnie made her film debut as Ginny Weasley, the shy and younger sister of Harry Potter's best friend, Ron Weasley. Although her scene in the film was rather small it wouldn't be long before her role took on a bigger meaning. Exactly one year later, on November 15, 2002, Bonnie reprised her role as the sweet and adorably shy Ginny in "Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets". This time her role required a lot more than a, "Goodluck!" to Harry. In "Chamber", Bonnie's character Ginny attends her first year at Hogwarts. Now, not only does Ginny have to deal with school & her growing crush on the famous boy wizard, but she also has to deal with a terrible & deadly secret that makes her key to the plot of the film.

Bonnie has continued to breathe life into the role of Ginny Weasley having done so in "Prisoner of Azkaban" (2003), "Goblet of Fire" (2005), and in the brilliant 5th film, Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix, which hit theaters on July 11, 2007. Bonnie has also wrapped up filming on the much anticapted 6th Harry Potter installement set for release on July 17, 2009. In Half Blood Prince, Bonnie's character Ginny becomes Harry's love interest & "soulmate". Although this is quiet a huge achievement for any 17 year old girl, Bonnie also has two made for T.V. movies under her belt. These include, Hallmark's production of "Stranded" (2002), & the BBC's "Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures" (2004).

Not only is Bonnie a talented actress but she also happens to have many secret talents that may, or may not surprise you. Bonnie has stated that she loves to surf & infact went to Austrlia to do just that. She also enjoys playing football, (soccer), rounders, & tennis. Bonnie also has a passion for music that reaches beyond a favorite song on the radio. Bonnie has a talent for the piano and recorder. Bonnie is also able to do Cockney, Yorkshire, and Australian accents. But that's not all! Last but not least, she does ballet, modern, and African dances. So just what would she be doing if she wasn't an actress? She has stated she would like to own a resort in Australia.

It looks as Bonnie will reprise her role as Ginny Weasley one last time in the final Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It currently isn't clear when Deathly Hallows will begin filming but the film will be split into two parts, making for two seperate release dates. With Half Blood Prince set for release in the summer of 2009 and Deathly Hallows set for filming, we can be sure to see a lot more of Bonnie's fantastic acting in the future.

Since Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince breakout star Bonnie Wright was a ginger-haired tot, the pretty 18-year-old actress has been playing Ron Weasley's baby sister Ginny in the Harry Potter films.

Film and television
Wright appeared in two made-for-television movies: 2002's Stranded as the younger version of Sarah Robinson and 2004's Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures, where she played the younger version of Agatha Christie. She had a guest role on The Disney Channel's The Replacements voicing Vanessa in the season two premiere London Calling.

Wright signed to appear in Sweat, a short film. Sweat is part of a project of five films called Geography of the Hapless Heart. She portrays Mia. The movie has a set release of 2011.

Wright confirmed to be starring in The Philosophers an American production to start filming July 2011 in Jakarta, Indonesia and will be finished one month later. The film will also star Rhys Wakefield and James D'Arcy which will be directed by John Huddles. The Philosophers is a film about "an international school in Jakarta, a philosophy class is having its last session. The professor challenges twenty-one graduating seniors to select ten who would take shelter underground and reboot the human race in the event of a nuclear attack."
